The world is currently undergoing unprecedented levels of turmoil and volatility as we all try to come to terms with the economic and social implications of the widespread outbreak of COVID-19. As a responsible corporate citizen with 15,000 employees across our subsidiaries, we at Qalaa Holdings are taking proactive measures to ensure the health and safety of each and every member of our team and their families.
In line with measures taken by the Egyptian Government to contain the spread of the virus by imposing strict social distancing measures and to mitigate risks to our employees and the community at large, Qalaa Holdings had taken early action before the government imposed curfew to put in place flexible working hours and remote work policies until the end of March, after which we will reassess the situation and proceed accordingly.
These measures are an essential component of our business continuity protocols that will help protect our employees by minimizing the number of people that are physically present on our premises at any given time.
Throughout this challenging period, Qalaa Holdings and all of our subsidiaries remain fully functional and open for business as we continue to meet the needs and deliverables of all our stakeholders safely and efficiently.
We ae closely monitoring the rapidly evolving situation at hand in a manner that will allow us to take informed and rational decisions that will ensure the health and safety of our community as well as maintain business continuity in our firm and platform companies.
